Hello everyone. I'm hoping that we all have a great school year this year. I'm a little new to this half homeschooling, so I may require some help and it would be really great if you guys can help me... I will definitely help you if I am able to.
I wanted to post a photo of our (small) classroom last year set up for High School Music.
That is so cool. It looks like students are able to learn in a more individual level. I love the fact that our kids are being taught in a more personal level, that way we can help them achieve so much more.
That classroom in the picture... Was it for the high school students last year you said?
My son Matthew did great last year. He loved going to class. He also liked the structure at home. As the year went on keeping him focused at home though was difficult. What REALLY helped was taking him to the CVPL on 4th and F street. They have study rooms you can reserve a day in advance. Most of the time I would walk in and ask and it was free. This was free of charge. Kept Matthew focused. If he did his work in a timely matter, he was rewarded by being able to check out a book or dvd. Something that us mom's can think about using later on when home starts getting a little too comfy. ;-)
This is so helpful. Thank you for sharing.
This is a really good point. Student already do feel comfortable with teachers as parents, but at home in addition really does add challenges. Taking them to a public place, but especially a place like CVPL is an exceptional idea!
Way to go Mrs. Velasquez. I can't believe it's only your second year with us. Please keep sharing ideas and supporting our new families.
Excuse the typo...
